Philosophy

We all have the capacity to grow and change. At times we may need a qualified professional to help organize our thoughts and gain understanding of our emotions. We may need help in untangling a belief system that can hold us back. 

We may realize we are falling back into habits and patterns that are less effective during times of stress, or we may recognize that we struggle with personality traits that are limiting.

At times we can feel overwhelmed by stressors in life whether it be gradual changes such as aging, or sudden changes such as the end of a relationship, a move, or other losses. We may feel unable to cope and struggle with moving forward. 

I believe in psychotherapy as a method to help in this process. A blend of deep listening combined with offering practical skills can help support the development of new perspectives.

In addition, I enjoy bringing a sense of humour to sessions where possible and as appropriate.  Life can feel heavy and at times some levity can help lighten the load.
